Chippewa Valley Museum

Purpose: Building Public Access Chippewa Valley Museum will develop a modular exhibit "In the Neighborhood," based on neighborhood oral history to open in 2005 for 36 months. Community-based research, volunteer participation, and technical services from other nearby museums will be deployed. In gallery and online information stations that allow broad public access to research and collections will be produced as well as teacher and family guides for the museum and the Web site. Chippewa Valley Museum will also present a series of in-services for staff on exhibit development with emphasis on production and conduct workshops for nearby museums and historical organizations.
