History Center in Tompkins County

Purpose: Building Public Access The DeWitt Historical Society (DHS) will support the development and implementation of 12 History Links kits, consisting of historic photographs and documents from the collections, supported by curriculum guides and related-activity materials. These kits will be made available to a wider audience in Tompkins County, New York. The kits will link topics of local significance with broader themes in American history within the context of established state curriculum standards. The initiative also has potential to benefit others that are limited in their ability to participate in traditional museum activities, including senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
