Building Public Access The Newark Museum will implement the Chinese Cultural Engagement Initiative, a multi-faceted education project that will increase and deepen understanding of traditional Chinese culture among youth and family audiences of diverse economic and ethnic backgrounds. The project will enable children and families to gain a greater understanding of Chinese art and culture through major exhibitions such as Chinese Wedding Traditions, exhibitions featuring contemporary art by living Chinese artists from the community, and through new and expanded educational services. The Museum will evaluate the program to ensure that the initiative builds its capacity to increase, deepen, and sustain audience participation.
