Jack Hadley Black History Museum

Log Number: MH-256308-OMS-24

The Jack Hadley Black History Museum will develop and produce audio guides and museum exhibits to engage youth audiences with the African American history of Southwest Georgia. Based on needs identified in a previous audience assessment and in previous visitor surveys, staff will work with a contracted design firm to create exhibits that utilize audio-visual technology for a customizable and immersive visitor experience. For exhibition content, staff will build upon work completed in a previous IMLS grant to collect the oral histories of Jack Hadley as material. Staff will present at professional conferences to share the results of the project with the museum field. Primary beneficiaries of the project will be school groups visiting the museum.
