Evansville African American Museum

The Evansville African American Museum will offer educational programs for youth in grades 6–12 with visual, performing, and literary artists and educators. The program, called the COVE (Connection, Opportunity, Visual arts, Expression) Project will include 25 youth participants, who will participate in community-based arts.  Staff will work with two paid college student interns to develop and coordinate the programs. Project staff will provide youth participants with individualized and small group instruction in various types of instrumentation, vocal training, and hands-on visual arts as well as facilitate youth participant recitals, plays, and exhibitions.
