Buffalo Soldiers National Museum

The Buffalo Soldiers National Museum will improve collections care and access by cataloging and digitizing more than 4,000 items in its African American military collection, as well as providing staff with collections care and management training. Project activities will include establishing an ongoing staff training schedule, developing a collections policy, and recruiting two graduate level archivist fellows to assist with cataloging and digitization. The project will result in enhanced access to the collection with images, which will provide staff with more options when they are developing exhibitions and education programs.
