Brazos Valley African American Museum

The Brazos Valley African American Museum will develop a new collections management system and complete an artifact cataloging project, which includes training for museum staff and volunteers through cataloging and digitizing training, traveling to other museums, short courses, and professional conferences. The project will develop tools to improve collections management and expand access to the museum's artifact collection, provide practical and research experiences for college students studying museum development, and provide project staff and volunteers with training opportunities and experiences that will enhance and sustain museum management. The cataloged and digitized products will be sustained at the museum and on digital clouds for ongoing access to museum staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.
