Log Number: MH-00-15-0038-15

The National Center for the Study of Civil Rights and African-American Culture at Alabama State University will develop an exhibit design plan for the Nat King Cole House Museum located on its campus. The museum's project team will work with an exhibit design firm to create an interactive, multimedia, self-guided exhibit that will teach and interpret the life, career, and legacy of Nat King Cole to visitors. The project will also help the museum to secure the rights for 25 images, TV shows, and music related to Nat King Cole that will be included in the design of the exhibition. Focus groups including university personnel, community stakeholders, tourism officials, and students will provide input for the exhibit design plan.
