DuSable Museum of African American History

As it approaches its 50th anniversary, the DuSable Museum will strengthen its organizational capacity and sustainability by adding key new staff positions and providing a range of training opportunities for current staff members. The museum will also obtain the services of a museum consulting firm to aid in the revision of the museum's capital expansion plan and to redirect its focus on strategic planning, institutional identity, and professional services for the public. The museum will hire a collections manager and director of educational public programs, and six of the current staff members will participate in professional development opportunities to build skills in operations, external affairs, and other specific areas in addition to attending professional conferences and workshops.
