Balboa Park Online Collaborative

The Balboa Park Online Collaborative will create a collaborative model of affordable digital disaster planning and recovery for museums of all types and sizes. The collaborative will develop and implement an independent museum cloud back-up solution for digitized and born-digital objects, using high-speed educational networks and a cooperative data storage strategy. As a result of this project, the organization will disseminate best practices and advance national conversations about the long-term preservation of our nation's most significant digital archives, helping prepare museums to quickly restore information, security, and other data dependent services that allow them to communicate with and serve their visitors and to protect these valuable assets.
