The AAMC Foundation

The AAMC Foundation will support junior curators through a ten-month mentorship program, pairing a diverse cohort of art curators with three to five years of professional experience with experienced senior curators working in and with museums, libraries, and community and cultural organizations. Two cohorts, each with ten mentors and ten mentees, will engage in a three-day residency, make site visits to the mentor’s institution, participate in a conference, and meet virtually during the program. As an outcome of the project activities, junior curators will improve their abilities to engage within their nonprofits to support broad institutional priorities related to fundraising, outreach, marketing, and project management.
