Children's Museum of Indianapolis

Log Number: MG-20-13-0018-13

As part of its ongoing commitment to the Near-North neighborhood of Indianapolis, the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis will follow up on the neighborhood planning process done in partnership with the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), and build the Extraordinary Learning Family Neighborhood Initiative. Working with community organizations, K-12, and institutions of higher education, the museum will structure an array of formal and informal education opportunities such as, quality preschool, school field trips, after-school learning opportunities, college scholarships, college credit, and scholarships for workforce development opportunities. The project will lead to: strengthened connections among the partner neighborhood organizations; strengthened relationships between neighborhood families, the museum, and partner organizations; new family learning experiences for neighborhood residents; increased opportunity for individuals to pursue academic and workforce development; and improved learning in science, art, and culture.
