New Orleans Museum of Art

The New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) will build robust evaluation capacity and embed data-informed decision making into its processes, practices, and systems, creating an institutional culture of evaluation. NOMA will work with an evaluation consultant to assess institutional readiness and understanding of evaluation capacity building, develop a foundational framework for evaluation, host training workshops and information sessions for museum staff, and conduct baseline visitor and member surveys. Project activities also include convening thought leaders and experienced museum evaluation personnel to introduce museum staff and local colleagues to experts in the field. Project activities will empower museum staff to evaluate programs, practices, and products, helping NOMA understand the measurable outcomes of their work, ultimately benefiting the museum’s audiences.
