Hermann-Grima + Gallier Historic Houses

The Hermann-Grima-Gallier Historic Houses will work with four partner organizations to train the museum’s staff and board members to increase organizational capacity to address diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion (DEAI) issues across the museum. Training will focus on understanding and facing unconscious bias, facilitating and fostering dialogue, providing increased accessibility, and addressing sensory processing needs. These professional development activities will help instill the core principles of DEAI into the museum’s culture and empower the staff and board to be inclusive across all operations. Through increased cultural flexibility, the museum can better examine obstacles to inclusion such as hiring, board nominations, project planning, collections policies, social media, and guest services.
