International Crane Foundation

The International Crane Foundation (ICF) will replace its outdated crane husbandry database to improve its data management and provide a secure backup of collections data. ICF will migrate its collections data from the current proprietary database to the Zoological Information Management System (ZIMS) database. The project will ensure long-term collections data integrity, improve accessibility of data for ICF's living collection, improve data sharing with partner zoos when ICF collection birds move between institutions, and improve data management to ensure optimal information for crane care and crane reintroduction planning and implementation.
