Curators of The University Of Missouri (Museum of Art and Archaeology)

Log Number: MA-31-18-0034-18

The Museum of Art and Archaeology at the University of Missouri will complete an ongoing project to rehouse its collections by creating more efficient storage for its overcrowded print collection. The project will lay the groundwork for an anticipated future reorganization effort for the museum's collections. The museum will purchase three storage cabinets and 24 protective boxes for more than 650 works on paper, and two holding cabinets to house in-process collections whose holding area will be occupied by the new print storage cabinets. During the process of rehousing the overcrowded prints and drawings, all works will be examined by curatorial and collections staff, re-matted or interleaved as needed, and any needs for object conservation noted for action by qualified paper conservators.
