The National Museum of Wildlife Art will purchase and install collections painting storage racks to create a more efficient and flexible storage system within its current climate-controlled secured storage area. With growth in the collections, paintings that no longer fit within the existing painting storage system are currently residing in crates placed in the museum's library, a hallway, and curatorial lab as well as in the center of the current storage facility. The new and flexible storage system is a key step toward a future multi-year museum building renovation that aims to enhance visitor experiences and improve stewardship of the collection of more than 5,000 paintings, sculptures, and other fine artworks that represent centuries of wildlife art.
