City of Bartlesville (Bartlesville Area History Museum)

The Bartlesville Area History Museum will process its Frank Griggs cellulose nitrate and acetate negative collection into its PastPerfect museum software, with the goal of saving these deteriorating negatives for long-term visitor use. The project will include sorting, cataloging, scanning, and re-housing 9,100 negatives in new archival sleeves and environmentally controlled storage cabinets. By the project's end, the museum will have addressed the highest priority in its strategic plan and will have ensured that genealogists, news media, history researchers, and the local community continue to have access to these images, which detail the life and history of Northeastern Oklahoma since 1895.
