Robert Louis Stevenson Silverado Museum

The Robert Louis Stevenson Museum will address permanent collection storage issues including the lack of adequate collection designated storage space; current use of non-archival and off gassing storage furniture; accessibility issues with a non-centralized collection; and limitations imposed on exhibitions due to lack of artifact relocation options. Through the acquisition of archival-quality compact mobile and fixed storage furniture and an art rack system, the museum will maximize the efficiency of the limited storage space and allow for future expansion. This dedicated archival storage space will increase the level of preservation for the collection while also improving the collection's accessibility, security, and interpretation potential.
