Tulane University (Newcomb Art Museum, Tulane University)

The Newcomb Art Museum of Tulane University will improve the care and management of its collections by implementing a comprehensive inventory and rehousing project. The museum will conduct a shelf inventory of approximately 7,000 objects and review and enhance the associated documentation. The project team will digitize the objects and related acquisition records and upload content onto the museum's website in a searchable catalog. The museum will hire three technicians to work with staff on the project and purchase supplies and materials to improve storage conditions. Through the project, the museum will address key recommendations received through its participation in the Museum Assessment Program.
