Southern Illinois University (University Museum)

The University Museum at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville will launch the first phase of a multi-year collections inventory project. The project will improve preservation and expand access for its collections. The museum will inventory 10,000 objects from its fine arts and ethnographic collections while identifying and recording objects found without documentation. As part of the inventory, the project team will also gather limited condition information for the objects and digitally photograph each item. The museum will hire and train two collections technicians to assist staff in conducting the inventory.
