Saginaw Valley State University (Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum, Saginaw Valley State University)

Log Number: MA-30-18-0395-18

The Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum at Saginaw Valley State University will implement conservation measures to extend the life of its collection of the life figure drawings of Marshall Fredericks to provide greater accessibility for art scholars, historians, students, and artists. The museum will transport 25 of the most vulnerable of the works to a conservation center where conservators will address each drawing's specific treatment needs. Following the conservation treatment, the museum will photograph the drawings and add the resulting files to its existing online digital archive where they will be accessible for the first time. The museum will conclude the project by mounting an exhibition which will be available for travel nationally and internationally.
