New Hampshire Historical Society

The New Hampshire Historical Society will catalog and digitize 1,780 items in its historic textile collection. Each textile will be digitally imaged and undergo a condition assessment. All catalog records will be updated and incorporated into the Society's newly created New Hampshire History Network, a statewide cross-collections database. The project will result in a more comprehensive database with digital images of identified, tagged, and cataloged objects, and provide a better understanding of and appreciation for the central role textiles played in the local, state, and national economy.
