Zoo Atlanta

Zoo Atlanta will purchase equipment, materials, and supplies needed to outfit a new Conservation Breeding Center for the zoo's amphibian and reptile collection to help conserve rapidly disappearing amphibian and reptile species. The Conservation Breeding Center will provide optimal living conditions through environmental improvements, new enclosures, life-support systems, an ultrasound machine, and other necessary equipment in a dedicated research and conservation facility. Additionally, the center will provide essential space for breeding programs and ongoing efforts to re-introduce and rebuild amphibian and reptile populations in the wild. The project will improve the health and safety of the collection, enhance the research capabilities of the staff, and expand the zoo's conservation efforts and understanding of these endangered species.
