Washington University (Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, Washington University)

The Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum will contract the Midwest Art Conservation Center to complete a detailed condition survey of paintings in its permanent collection. Survey results will help guide the museum’s long range plans for collections care and treatment, and support research and educational programs for faculty, students, scholars, and the public. The resulting conservation treatment will help the museum increase access to its paintings through public display, publications, and loans, and preserve the collection for future generations. The survey report will identify the ten objects most in need of conservation, with detailed condition reports, treatment proposals, and cost estimates.
