Los Angeles County Museum of Art

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) will conduct a comprehensive inventory of its photography and media collections which face accelerated collection growth and programmatic activity. The inventory will create complete and standardized data about the collections and the current conditions of dispersed, improvised storage and housing. Upon completion of the inventory, the museum will refine and institute new collections management processes across the museum’s encyclopedic collections and will inform the planning and design of LACMA’s Art+Film Lab, a multi-use site for presenting a wide variety of lens-/film-/time-based works of art in the context of an encyclopedic museum.
