University of Minnesota (Bell Museum)

The Bell Museum of Natural History will conserve its complete set of John James Audubon’s The Birds of America folio. The museum will purchase and install an archival print storage system, move the collection to a secure, climate-controlled storeroom, complete conservation treatment of the folio, and electronically catalog and create high-quality digital images of all 435 prints to promote public access by scholars and others while protecting the originals.
