Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

The Country Music Foundation (CMF) will launch phase two of its digitization initiative, creating the infrastructure and a model for preserving and increasing access to its unparalleled collection, which is integral to the history of country music in America. Over the past year, CMF completed Phase One of its initiative: assessing need, identifying best practices, developing workflows and metadata templates, and reviewing and selecting a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. Phase Two will result in the purchase and installation of the DAM system and creation of a model to digitize other rare, fragile, and highly requested assets in the collection, ensuring their long-term preservation and creating access for researchers and the public.
