Michigan Department of Natural Resources (Michigan History Museum)

The Michigan History Museum will review, assess, and catalog a collection of more than 1,500 three-dimensional artifacts received from the recently closed HERstory Gallery, formerly named the Michigan Women’s Historical Center and Hall of Fame. The project will involve hiring a limited-term Collections Specialist, who will work with museum staff to process and catalog the collection. This project will result in a fully cataloged collection stored in archival grade materials to ensure long-term preservation. The museum will also make digital catalog records available to increase access to the collection for scholarly researchers and members of the public.
