San Luis Obispo Museum of Art

The San Luis Obispo Museum of Art will expand public programming and collaborations with community partners to address gaps in audience access and engagement. The museum will hire a Community Engagement Coordinator to lead the expansion program, work with community partners to identify access gaps in the museum’s service area, and leverage museum resources to meet audience needs. Museum staff will also partner with a local school district to create arts education resources and on-site and off-site programming for elementary school teachers. Participating teachers and students, working families, and adults from historically underserved and excluded communities in San Luis Obispo County will all benefit from the project.
