GoggleWorks Center for the Arts

GoggleWorks Center for the Arts will implement the “Como Crecemos (How We Grow)” project, expanding on its success serving Hispanic and Latinx audiences by designing equitable, inclusive exhibitions, programs, and communications. The museum will partner with three community organizations—Barrio Alegría, Centro Hispano, and the Reading Artist Collective—who are committed to supporting the Latinx population and advancing diversity in the local arts community. Project activities include creating two major exhibitions featuring the works of conventionally marginalized artists and a communications program designed to engage new audiences from Hispanic and Latinx backgrounds by prioritizing listening, storytelling, grassroots outreach, and innovative technology. The museum will also hire a manager of inclusive programs to implement programs such as outdoor arts activities, educational workshops, and a public fashion show. The project will foster cross-cultural collaboration, amplify marginalized voices, and expand Latinx arts access and reach.
