Asheville Art Museum
Log Number: MA-251912-OMS-22
The Asheville Art Museum will inventory, document, and organize its collection of architectural records and objects related to architects Douglas D. Ellington and Richard Sharp Smith. Museum staff will work with a contracted conservator to assess the condition of items in the collection and make recommendations for conservation. Two paid undergraduate and two paid graduate interns will work on the project to conduct collections inventory, data entry, and condition reporting and the museum will hire a full-time project assistant to rehouse and document objects. The project will result in increased public access to digitized architectural records through an online collections database as well as associated public programming.
