Baltimore Museum of Art

The Baltimore Museum of Art will catalog, photograph, research, and interpret works of American painting, sculpture, and decorative arts in preparation for a reinstallation of its permanent collection. Museum staff will work with contractors to safely move the artwork, create new physical displays for reinstalled objects, and develop digital applications to interface with in-gallery educational technology. The museum will hire temporary staff to assist the project, including a cataloger of American art, a conservation technician, and an art preparator. As a result of the project, the museum will make the American art collection publicly accessible through an online collections platform for the benefit of curators and conservators as well as educators and students.
