Barnes Foundation

The Barnes Foundation seeks to improve access to the Albert C. Barnes correspondence documents. Spanning almost 50 years (1902–1951), the correspondence contains dialogues with many historical figures and is a rich, critical resource with relevance for a broad range of humanistic disciplines. The museum will ensure the collection’s long-term preservation by creating digital records of the collection and then storing them in a new digital asset management system. The project also will enhance public access to the collection by making it available to scholars and general audiences on its website in a thoughtful and easily navigable way.
