San Francisco Art Institute

The San Francisco Art Institute's City Studio program provides free arts instruction to under-served, economically challenged, and at-risk youth in San Francisco and Oakland. Youth ages 11-18 attend art classes at partner sites across the city, including neighborhood Boys and Girls Clubs, community service organizations, and non-profit arts organizations. The program introduces participants to a wide range of art forms and connects them to training that creates awareness of career possibilities in the arts. The City Studio program also provides youth with critical, transferable skills that prepare them for a variety of fields, arts-related and beyond.
