Movimiento de Arte y Cultura Latino Americana

Movement de Arte y Cultura Latino Americana (MACLA) will design 11 visual art exhibitions, provide honoraria for exhibiting artists, and expand its public programs to enhance cultural opportunities and civic engagement through the visual arts. The project will fulfill needs identified by community members for more in-depth and hands-on engagement in issues most relevant to their lives and their community, including health, religion, immigration, popular culture, neighborhood revitalization, and tension between traditional and modern lifestyles. MACLA will present as many as 66 public programming events, and the exhibitions will give community members an opportunity to engage with Latino artists.
