The Tech Museum of Innovation is partnering with local school superintendents and education technology leaders to create the Center for Learning with Technology. The program will assist Bay Area public schools that have not yet taken full advantage of technological advances. The center will combine a 3,000-square-foot physical space with a virtual community where educators can learn about, discuss, test, and experience educational technology innovations. A series of professional development workshops will engage superintendents, principals, and department heads with deep dives into technology tools and techniques, with a focus on practical applications with the potential to transform schools and school districts. The goal is to foster 21st century STEM skills by driving at least 10 school districts to adopt new technology-enhanced strategies, protocols, programs, or tools to improve student learning.
