Magic House, St. Louis Children's Museum

The Magic House, St. Louis Children’s Museum will partner with St. Louis Children’s Hospital to develop and implement Fit for All Kids, a children’s health and wellness initiative. The project will establish a cohesive campaign to educate and encourage families to make positive health and lifestyle choices. It will also expand the museum’s capacity to serve as a health and fitness resource in the St. Louis community, where childhood obesity is a growing problem. The museum will hire a Community Health Project Manager to lead the project and serve as a community liaison; establish a professional Health Advisory Committee; renovate current health-related exhibits; develop interpretive content and educational materials; and train staff to convey key health messages. The museum will also develop an educational outreach program and interactive tabletop exhibits for schools, libraries, hospitals, and other community settings.
