The APEX Museum will complete the research and development needed for the exhibition, "A Matter of Color: The Social, Historical, and Legal Construction of Race," to open a much needed, but often avoided, dialogue about race. This exhibition will foster a safe environment for understanding and discussing the origins of race, its trajectory over time, and examining how we arrived at our racial present by utilizing sociological, historical, and legal lenses. This project will help grow the museum's audience and advance its ability to educate the Atlanta community, Americans, and the world about the African Diaspora.
