Oberlin Heritage Center

The Oberlin Heritage Center will create two new digital tablet-based tours about downtown Oberlin and the Underground Railroad and upgrade the organization's website to improve the ways adult visitors engage with Oberlin's nationally significant history. The tours will connect visitors to Oberlin's unique landmarks and rich stories, and meet visitor demand for two popular topics: Oberlin's participation in the Underground Railroad, and its historic downtown. The project will make the museum's content more accessible to the growing number of mobile device users and respond to visitors' interests and changing learning preferences, helping to sustain the center as an anchor of local heritage tourism and model for small historical museums and sites.
