Clark Art Institute

The Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute will develop and implement a mobile interpretation system, available as an application on museum-provided devices (multimedia guides) and on visitors’ own devices, which will enhance the visitor experience of the Clark’s collections and campus. A new mobile interpretation system is a significant component of the Clark’s plan for the reinstallation and interpretation of its collections in the Museum Building and Manton Research Center, currently under renovation and opening to the public in July 2014. The new system will provide carefully curated layers of content in multiple media to accommodate varied levels of interest, degrees of background knowledge, and preferred learning styles.
