Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston will create an exhibition of contemporary Latin American art and related programming. The exhibition and complementary public programs will build on the successes of the MFA’s new Art of the Americas Wing and Linde Family Wing for Contemporary Art, allowing the museum to meet its artistic and audience development goals by engaging visitors across cultural boundaries. The exhibition will present approximately 25 works by artists that communicate messages about the social, cultural, and historical context of the Americas and its diaspora. It will debut work by key contemporary artists never before seen in New England. For the accompanying programming, the museum will partner with local community and cultural organizations to highlight culture from across the Americas, including music, dance, film, lectures, courses, and community outreach.
