Oakland Museum of California

The Oakland Museum will enhance its technological infrastructure by synthesizing collections information management with digital and media outreach efforts throughout the museum. A five-year Technology Strategic Plan will be developed to consolidate the museum’s collections, exhibitions, education, and other publication processes. The development of this plan will include research, infrastructure assessment, convening of museum technology experts, and training. Staff will also research information management systems, workflow and interchange processes, and explore new staffing and budget structures to allow for developments in media and technology both onsite and on the Web.
