National Audubon Society (Schlitz Audubon Nature Center)

The Schlitz Audubon Nature Center (SANC) will embark on a project to go beyond its current anecdotal evidence and evaluate how its early childhood programs both influence the formation of conservation-related attitudes and influence the positive growth and development of the whole child. The SANC is currently in its seventh year operating a state licensed preschool centered on a distinct place-based, nature-focused curriculum. This grant will allow the SANC to perform, design, and implement a formal evaluation of its programming to determine the effectiveness of this approach to early childhood nature education.
