San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden

Friends of San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden will hire a director of volunteers. The Garden, now in its twentieth year of operations, has recently finished construction on its first major building complex, thereby increasing the capacity of the organization to hire additional staff to better serve our target audiences. As a largely volunteer-run organization, the board of directors has determined, as part of the strategic planning process, that the best way to take volunteerism to the next level is to hire a director of volunteers. This position, which will become part of the payroll after the grant period ends, will recruit, manage, supervise, and orient new and existing volunteers, while simultaneously working with staff and volunteers to improve existing programs and develop new programs for the public.
