Mount Holyoke College (Mount Holyoke College Art Museum)

Log Number: MA-05-10-0428-10

The Mount Holyoke College Art Museum will begin a two-year digitization and cataloguing project that will both increase access to its collection and improve stewardship. The primary objectives of the project will be to digitally photograph and catalogue two of its most frequently studied and noteworthy holdings: works of art on paper and objects from antiquity. In addition to capturing digital images of approximately 5,000 objects, essential cataloguing information will be recorded in the museum’s collections management system. This information, along with the digital images, will be available to the College, the greater academic community, and the general public through the Web interface of the database. High-resolution digital images will be accessible for scholarly use through a College-supported digital repository.
