Morgan County Historical Society

The Morgan County Historical Society will begin a project to update, enhance, and modernize its collections database. The updated database will include comprehensive information, pictures and other descriptive details for the historical documents, pictures, prints, and all other historical items in the collection. Currently, collection information is captured on an obsolete program and only accessible to one person. Through the completion of this project, the collection will be available to a wider audience. The Morgan County Historical Society, which oversees the administration and maintenance of four separate historical buildings including the museum in rural Appalachia, has become an integral part of the tourist economy of the area.
