Philadelphia Museum of Art

The Philadelphia Museum of Art will use its grant to support its American and European Silver Photography and Digitization Project, an essential initiative to produce high-quality digital photography for online and print publication of nearly 2,700 works of American and European silver. The museum’s silver holdings, including a definitive collection of Philadelphia silver, are among the most important in the United States. Through publication in the museum’s rapidly expanding public online collections database and the creation of a long-awaited print publication on the American silver collection, this project will dramatically increase public and scholarly access to these works of art.
