Heritage Museum and Gardens (Heritage Museums & Gardens)

Heritage Museums & Gardens is actively endeavoring to improve accountability for and strategic utilization of its collections. In 2007, the museum received an American Association of Museums (IMLS) grant for a collections processing technician who processed 3,750 of the museum’s art collections, a total of 75% of the object collections. This grant will fund the hiring of another collections processing technician to finish processing the remaining 2,600 history-related objects in the collection. At the completion of the project, all of the museum’s objects will be fully processed and documented. The museum will also implement TriO, a software module that will allow searchable, online access to select data from the collections database.
