Harrison County Historical Museum

The Harrison County Historical Society/Harrison County Historical Museum will begin a project to convert its archival catalog records from a DOS-based system to a Windows-based system. Two computers and a network server will be purchased for the data entry process and to access the records on a local area network. The restoration of the museum’s home, the 1901 Historic Harrison County Courthouse, was the impetus for planning the “New Museum” initiative that includes not only new exhibits, but also a focus on collections care, providing access to the museum’s resources for researchers, and offering educational opportunities for both children and adults.
